Entry 1: Montreal Casino & Hotel
Île Notre-Dame, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Two pavilions from Expo 67 make up this complex on Île Notre-Dame, an island in the St. Lawrence. The former French pavilion, wrapped in ribbed aluminium, is the one people recognise from the water.
Large windows face back toward the downtown skyline. Restaurants, bars and a cabaret-style stage spread across several levels, so dinner or a show is reason enough to make the trip. The gaming floor is there too, as one facility inside a building that is mostly a well-kept piece of world's-fair architecture.

Entry 2: Fallsview Casino Resort
Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada
High ground above the Canadian side of the gorge gives Fallsview both its name and its main asset. The hotel tower faces the Horseshoe Falls. From many rooms, the mist is the first thing you see in the morning.
Below the tower there is a spa, a shopping galleria and restaurants ranging from casual to formal. The OLG Stage at Fallsview books touring concerts and comedy. A gaming floor sits within the complex. Most guests, though, book for the view.

Entry 3: River Rock Casino Resort
Richmond, British Columbia, Canada
Richmond's riverfront, a few minutes from Vancouver International Airport, is where River Rock stands. A marina on the Fraser River sits beside it. The Canada Line's Bridgeport station is close enough to reach downtown Vancouver without a car.
The hotel offers rooms and suites, an indoor pool area and several restaurants and lounges. Its show theatre hosts concerts and comedy through the year. The gaming floor is one part of a property that also works well as a calm base near the airport.

Entry 4: Casino Rama Resort
Rama, Ontario, Canada
Lake country north of Toronto is the setting. Casino Rama Resort stands on the lands of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, near Orillia and Lake Couchiching, roughly ninety minutes' drive from the city.
A hotel tower of around three hundred rooms and suites anchors the property. Add a spa, a range of restaurants and a large entertainment centre for headline acts, and it becomes a short-break destination rather than a stopover. The gaming floor sits alongside, as one of the resort's facilities.
